The person responsible for bringing the project Art Meets Education to life is Nico Klein-Allermann. He's the coordinator on site in the Philippines, organizes the exhibitions, as well as responsible for coordinating the work of the volunteers. Born in Bonn, his family shortly thereafter moved to Berlin and he has been living there ever since -- despite countless relocations and lengthy travels. He studied photography in Dortmund, however, stopped after just the second semester. For him, the study was not particularly inspiring and excessively theoretical. Instead, he decided to pursue his passion for photography and set out on his own. In 2011, he began studying pedagogy at the University of Münster. Currently, he's working as a freelance photographer, particularly in the commercial sector. "I photograph life and people . . . the main criteria for me is that it's up close and in the thick of things - be it commercial, documentary, or artistic.
